From February 7th to February 12th, Velaa Private Island will be holding a Brazilian carnival, where the guests will get the chance to immerse themselves in some Brazilian Samba dance, learn Samba style drumming and experience Capoeira, a graceful dance consisting of some martial arts moves.

Carnival festivities will be largely influenced by Brazilian culture, embracing the authentic tradition of samba with dance and drum workshops, as well as high-energy Capoeira courses conducted by professional dance ensemble Brazilian Fantasy. The Brazilian Carnival is a raucous festival of food, booze, music, and good times. It is conducted yearly for a few days before the commencement of Lent, the Roman Catholic Church’s 40-day period of fasting, abstinence, and repentance preceding Easter.

Velaa Private Island Resort is accessible via a picturesque 45-minute seaplane flight aboard Velaa’s bespoke plane on a private charter (9-seater) or a commercial seaplane (15-seater). Upon arrival, all guests are welcomed by a Velaa airport butler and led immediately to the VIP lounge with beverage amenities and a space to rest before the seaplane transport.
