Fully vaccinated travelers can now enter Singapore quarantine-free; Singapore Airlines launched the first VTL flight from the Maldives on December 16, 2021.Flights from Male-Singapore were briefly halted in March 2020 due to pandemic. Singapore Airlines restarted operations by December 2020 and now conducts daily flights between Male’ and Singapore. SQ437 is serving as the official VTL service three times a week.
The Airline will be increasing its flight frequency from seven to ten times per week beginning on January 2, 2022, to improve air connectivity. Travelers from the Maldives must present COVID-19 Digital Certification acquired from the Health Protection Agency Maldives website to travel via VTL.
