It has been reported that a total of 54,875 tourist arrivals have been recorded so far from 01^st-11^th of December in the Maldives. According to the latest figures published by the Ministry of Tourism on 05^th of December, a record-breaking daily arrival of 6,269 tourists, arrived just on a single day. This marks the highest number of tourists that have arrived in a single day so far.

India continues to hold the highest market share with a 22.6% contribution in total tourist arrivals followed by Russia, Germany, U.S.A and U.K.

Maldives is getting closer and closer to its tourist arrival target of 1.3 million for this year, 2021.
