Beginning July 3, 2026, the airline will introduce two additional weekly services to the Maldives, operating on Tuesdays and Fridays. Looking ahead to autumn 2026, Edelweiss also intends to boost flights to Indian Ocean destinations to accommodate the seasonal surge in demand for beach getaways.

This development is part of a broader expansion across Edelweiss’ long-haul network, with increased flight frequencies on several routes, including the Maldives. The enhanced schedule offers passengers greater flexibility and improved connections via Zurich, supporting the airline’s goal of strengthening its portfolio of high-end leisure destinations while catering to peak travel demand. Tickets are now available through Edelweiss Air official website and standard booking channels. Through these adjustments, Edelweiss is adapting to current travel trends while making efficient use of its operational capacity.

The additional flights are expected to contribute positively to the Maldives’ tourism sector, giving European travellers more accessible and direct options during the high-demand summer period.
