Duygu Tatar Appointed as Group Tourism Director of Brand and Marketing Communications at Gürok Group

A key leadership change has been made within the marketing and communications division of the tourism portfolio under Gürok Group, one of Turkey’s prominent private conglomerates. Duygu Tatar, who currently holds the position of Senior Cluster Director of Marketing Communications at JOALI, has taken on an expanded role as Group Tourism Director of Brand and Marketing Communications.

Alongside her existing responsibilities, she will now lead the branding and marketing communication strategies not only for JOALI but also for Ali Bey Hotels & Resorts, a well-established name in the tourism industry with close to 35 years of experience, and BIJAL, a distinctive Mediterranean concept known for its villa-style hospitality.

Bringing more than 15 years of expertise in marketing and communications, Duygu began her professional journey with LAV, another brand within the Gürok Group. Over the years, she has been deeply involved in shaping the marketing direction of JOALI Maldives and JOALI BEING, playing a major role in elevating JOALI into a globally recognized luxury brand.

Her contributions have been central to JOALI’s international recognition, including accolades placing it among Asia’s top resorts and listings among the world’s most prestigious luxury hotels. She has also been actively involved in developing and designing award-winning dining concepts within the resorts.
