Set in the UNESCO-listed Langhe hills of Piedmont, BORGO MONCHIERO HERITAGE by Atmosphere, part of the Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts brand, welcomes Mr Francesco Giovannelli as Monastero Manager. The appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Atmosphere Core, the international hospitality company behind the brand, as it enters the European heritage hospitality landscape.
Commenting on his appointment, Francesco Giovannelli, Monastero Manager, said “Borgo Monchiero is a special heritage experience, and I am honoured to lead this exceptional project for Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts. Francesco Giovannelli brings over 15 years of leadership in hospitality, with hands-on operational experience across Italy, including Piedmont, and Tuscany. Working closely with on-property teams, he has led departments across operations, revenue coordination and service delivery. His experience reflects a strong, hands-on understanding of Italy’s regional cultures, guest expectations and service traditions. He has also been recognised by Leading Hotels of the World for service excellence and later honoured with the Hospitality Award 2025.

BORGO MONCHIERO HERITAGE by Atmosphere is a beautifully restored 18th-century monastery built in 1773.
