The season begins in January with celebrated chef Gianluca Renzi, whose appearances span refined wine-led dining experiences, an intimate hands-on gnocchi masterclass, and a signature dinner set against panoramic ocean views. His presence sets the tone for the year ahead, blending classical Italian heritage with contemporary technique and a spirit of conviviality that resonates with the resort’s sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere.

In February, the focus turns to pioneering craftsmanship in both the bar and cellar. World Class Global Bartender of the Year 2025, Felice Capasso, brings his expressive approach to mixology to The Whale Bar through a dynamic bar takeover followed by an engaging masterclass that explores the deeper narrative of spirits, flavor, and creativity. Shortly after, Burgundy’s winemaking heritage arrives in the Maldives through Romaric Chavy of Domaine Chavy-Chouet, who will personally lead a wine tasting and a hosted dinner experience, offering guests a rare and authentic encounter with the nuance, elegance, and terroir-driven character of one of the world’s most celebrated regions.

Complementing the culinary and beverage program, the series also embraces wellness and rejuvenation as Akiko Igarashi returns as Visiting Practitioner from February 9 to 23. With decades of experience in Reiki, sound healing, and holistic practices, she guides guests through deeply restorative therapies including Tibetan Singing Bowl healing journeys, Reiki treatments, and bespoke couples’ sessions, each designed to encourage inner stillness, emotional harmony, and transformative wellbeing.

In March, the spotlight shifts to world-class sport as former World No. 1 and multiple Grand Slam champion Angelique Kerber joins the lineup with a series of exclusive tennis engagements.

Through private coaching sessions, a dedicated children’s clinic, on-court interactions, and a relaxed meet-and-greet, Kerber brings elite athletic insight to the resort while maintaining an approachable, inspiring presence that resonates with seasoned players and enthusiasts alike.

The season continues into April with Michelin-starred British chef Glynn Purnell, whose confident, modern British culinary identity is expressed through a showcase dinner, an intimate cooking class, and a signature finale experience at The Whale Bar. Known for combining technical precision with warmth and personality, Purnell’s appearance provides a fitting culmination to a season defined by talent, storytelling, and meaningful engagement.

In May, the Tastemaker Series welcomes one of tennis’s most admired figures, Feliciano López. Celebrated for his longevity, elegant serve-and-volley style, and sustained success across more than two decades on the ATP Tour, López is a former World No. 12 renowned for his performances on grass courts and holder of the Open Era record for the most consecutive Grand Slam main-draw appearances. A Grand Slam doubles champion and a key contributor to Spain’s Davis Cup victories, he brings a wealth of professional insight to the resort through curated guest sessions that explore advanced technique, movement, match awareness, and the subtleties of elite-level tennis within a relaxed island setting.
