British yacht and architectural design studio Winch Design has revealed its newly reimagined Kuredhi Residence at Velaa Private Island, Maldives. Following a comprehensive redesign.

The studio, known for its luxury hospitality projects such as The Wharf Marina & Spa Resort in the Seychelles and The Owo in London, focused on creating a seamless connection between the residence’s interiors and the surrounding natural landscape. Located on a private stretch of coastline within the Noonu Atoll resort, the four-bedroom beachfront home employs a palette of natural materials and gentle coastal hues, forming what the studio describes as  “a sanctuary rooted in place.” interiors feature lofty, beamed ceilings and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, maximizing both natural light and panoramic ocean vistas.

Organic textures abound throughout, including woven raffia, seashell-inspired lacquer finishes, and aged metals, while standout furnishings include a Minotti Hamilton sofa, sculptural loungers by Piegatto, and textile installations by Anne Kyyrö Quinn.

Outside, the residence boasts a private terrace with an infinity pool, a hot tub pavilion, and open-air dining areas designed to promote relaxed outdoor living. Guests enjoy direct beach access, while lush greenery envelops the residence, guaranteeing utmost privacy, while the Kuredhi Residence experience is elevated with bespoke services such as a private chef, personal butler, and an exclusive gym.

This redesign is part of Velaa Private Island’s ongoing initiative to refresh and elevate its accommodation offerings. The resort has also recently unveiled a revamped Lha Velaa Kids club, named after the “Little Turtle” in Dhivehi and inspired by the owner’s daughter, developed in partnership with Worldwide Kids, a leading provider of luxury family and childcare experiences.
