Sun Siyam has announced a series of strategic appointments and promotions across its properties and global markets, reflecting the group’s continued commitment to recognising talent, developing leadership from within, and driving its commercial growth strategy worldwide.
Silvia Collepardi has been appointed as Sales Representative for Spain, Portugal, and The Nordics, marking a significant milestone in Sun Siyam’s European growth strategy. A hospitality veteran with over 15 years of global experience, Silvia recently launched her own boutique firm, Silvia Collepardi Hospitality Consultancy, specialising in sales representation, brand development, and commercial strategy for luxury hotels and resorts. Her career includes senior leadership roles such as Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Atmosphere Core and Director of Sales & Marketing for several high-end resort brands. In her new role, Silvia will lead Sun Siyam’s business development and trade relations across key European markets, amplifying brand presence through her extensive network, strong storytelling ability, and deep understanding of the luxury travel sector. Her partnership embodies Sun Siyam’s continued evolution as a global hospitality brand rooted in Maldivian authenticity and warmth.

Mohamed Najah has been promoted to Resort Manager at Sun Siyam Iru Veli, marking nearly a decade of dedicated service with the company. Over the years, Najah has played a key role in several milestone projects including the Olhuveli Romance expansion, the opening of Sun Siyam Pasikudah, and the launch of Siyam World. After joining Iru Veli in 2023 as Director of Food & Beverage, he quickly rose to Director of Operations before assuming his current leadership role. Known for his strategic mindset and ability to inspire teams, Najah continues to drive operational excellence, enhance staff well-being, and elevate guest experiences, positioning Iru Veli for continued growth and success.

Also, at Iru Veli, Shimhad Ali has been promoted to Director of Human Resources, following his successful tenure as Human Resources Manager since joining the resort in 2024. With extensive experience across leading Maldivian resorts, Shimhad has been instrumental in cultivating a culture of inclusivity, engagement, and professional growth. His approachable leadership style and focus on team development have strengthened collaboration across departments, transforming HR into a cornerstone of the resort’s success. Adam Afsan has been promoted from Director of Sales to Director of Sales & Marketing at Siyam World, Maldives. Adam brings more than a decade of hospitality expertise, advancing his career through key roles at resorts such as Soneva and Six Senses before joining Siyam World in April 2021. In his new expanded role, Adam will lead both sales and marketing strategy, drive brand growth across global markets and deepen key partner relationships, positioning Siyam World for its next chapter of growth and innovation.

Swati Dogra has been promoted to Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing at Sun Siyam Iru Veli. Having joined Sun Siyam Resorts in 2021 as Sales Executive at Olhuveli, Swati’s career trajectory reflects consistent achievement and leadership. Her experience spans across multiple Sun Siyam properties, including Siyam World, before taking on the role of Sales Manager at Iru Veli. With a proven record in revenue generation and relationship management, Swati will now lead core sales strategies, strengthen trade partnerships, and reinforce Iru Veli’s positioning as one of the Maldives’ most romantic and experiential boutique resorts.

At Sun Siyam Olhuveli, Moosa Ahmed has been promoted to Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing. With over a decade of experience in sales, reservations, and revenue management, Moosa has been instrumental in driving the resort’s commercial success through strategic market positioning and fostering strong trade partnerships. Among his many achievements, he successfully hosted a 1,000-person MICE delegation from a top software firm and helped position Olhuveli as the Best MICE Destination at the Travel Trade Maldives Awards. His leadership continues to shape innovative sales strategies and guest-centric initiatives, reinforcing Olhuveli’s position as one of the Maldives’ leading luxury destinations.

Also at Sun Siyam Olhuveli, Jiayi Deng (Denise) has been promoted to Sales & Marketing Manager. Since joining the property in 2022, Jiayi has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic foresight, advancing from Sales & Marketing Executive to Assistant Manager before taking on her current role. Her market expertise, particularly in China and East Asia, has played a crucial role in driving Olhuveli’s success within these key segments. With a background spanning destination marketing, contracting, and MICE management, Jiayi will continue to strengthen Sun Siyam’s visibility across Asia and enhance its commercial partnerships.

Within the corporate division, Eenas Ahmed has been promoted to Contracting Manager from her previous role as Assistant Business Development Manager. Eenas has played an integral role in supporting Sun Siyam’s commercial operations through market analysis, partner outreach, and contract support. In her new role, she will lead contract negotiations with global tour operators, wholesalers, and OTA partners, optimising rate structures and aligning with key commercial departments to ensure seamless execution. Her promotion reflects her strong work ethic, precision, and commitment to operational excellence.
