Assets Group and Kerzner International Holdings Limited have officially announced the signing of a landmark project, Atlantis The Royal Maldives.
Assets Group, which holds the head lease rights to Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi and is also developing Rosewood Ranfaru, continues to strengthen it's portfolio of ultra-luxury destinations. Kerzner International, operator of One&Only Reethi Rah, brings it's global expertise in world-class hospitality to this visionary collaboration.

Set to open in 2029 on Vaaredhdhoo Faru in South Male’ Atoll, Atlantis The Royal Maldives will span 1,368,890 m² with over 5.8 km in beachfront. Accessible via a 10-minute seaplane or 25-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport, the resort will feature two distinct islands. A family island and a luxury island, offering a total of 493 keys, including 270 rooms and 223 villas and mansions.
Conceived as a fully integrated destination where stays, dining, and entertainment are harmoniously connected, the resort will feature over 20 restaurants and lounges, two beach clubs, and signature destinations such as Gastronomy, The Royal Tearoom and Ossiano. The resort’s Aquaventure waterpark will cover 70,000 m² with up to 15 rides anchored by the iconic Neptune and Poseidon Towers, complemented by the Lost Chambers Aquarium, which showcases native marine life under the Atlantis Atlas Project.
Beyond it's signature waterpark, Atlantis The Royal Maldives will offer an extensive array of experiences, from state-of-the-art sports academies and vibrant entertainment zones to expansive wellness facilities, establishing the resort as a year-round haven for both families and couples.
A Maldivian interpretation of The Lost Chambers Aquarium will further enrich the destination, showcasing native marine life through the lens of the Atlantic Atlas Project. The resort’s culinary landscape will be equally ambitious, featuring over 17 signature dining experiences, including Gastronomy, The Royal Tearoom, and Ossiano. Complemented by celebrity-chef venues and casual island dining, offering a sophisticated yet diverse culinary experience for every taste.
Wellness will be thoughtfully integrated throughout both islands, featuring a botanical alchemy zone, a world-class spa specializing in longevity and recovery treatments, an overwater platform dedicated to yoga and breathwork, and a seamlessly integrated indoor-outdoor fitness centre. Complementary experiences such as luxury retail avenues and versatile event spaces will add depth and discovery, catering to intimate celebrations and large-scale gatherings alike.
