With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Shameem boasts an accomplished track record in hotel operations and hospitality management, across disciplines including food and beverage and front office.

No stranger to Minor Hotels, Shameem has worked for various luxury hospitality companies in the Maldives over the years, including Soneva, Minor’s very own Anantara and Kudadoo Maldives Private Island where he served as Resort Manager from 2023 to 2025, before moving to Naladhu Private Island Maldives. “It was literally a homecoming for me, as I’ve spent the best years of my career in Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas and re-joining the group was always a dream,” claimed Shameem.

In his new role, the Maldivian native will oversee the entire operations of the island which comprises of 20 elegant houses with private pools, as well as The Living Room – the sole dining outlet in Naladhu which offers a ‘no menu’ concept and all-day breakfast.
