The Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2025 North Zone Final, held on 29th August 2025 at Royal Island Resort & Spa, delivered a night of high drama and football excellence, where Joali Maldives emerged victorious with a 6–3 triumph over Velaa Private Island to claim the coveted North Zone Champion title.
The evening commenced with the national anthem, followed by player greetings from the distinguished chief guests: Mr. Nasrulla Ali (General Manager, Royal Island Resort & Spa), Mohamed Mausoom (Resort Manager, Velaa Private Island), Julien Loubere (Resort Manager, Joali Maldives), and Mr. Ali Ahmeem (Assistant Director of HR, Velaa Private Island).
The final itself was a thrilling showcase of attacking futsal. Joali struck early with two first-half goals, taking firm control of the game. The second half saw a flurry of goals, with Joali adding two more before Velaa surged back with three of their own. Despite the pressure, Joali responded with a crucial fifth to maintain the lead, before sealing the match with a last-minute sixth goal to secure the 6–3 victory.

With the North Zone concluded, attention now turns southwards as the Dhaalu Zone kicks off next. Hosted by Sun Siyam Iru Veli at Bandidhoo Island, the Dhaalu Zone begins on 5th September 2025, promising more high-energy matches as the tournament progresses.
