Emirates, the largest airline in the Middle East, has announced key commercial appointments across Africa and Asia. In a press release share today, the airline announced the appointment of Jaber Mohamed as the new Country Manager for Sri Lanka and the Maldives along with the other key appointments. Currently carrying the responsibilities of Country Manager of Bangladesh, Jaber Mohamed will step into his new role on 1st August 2025.
Along with Jaber, Talal Al Gergawi, Salem Almana, and Omar Bushlaibi will be stepping into their new roles in August. Currently serving in Zimbabwe, Talal Al Gergawi will take on the role of Country Manager of Bangladesh, while Salem Almana who is the Regional Manager for Pakistan, will step into the role of Country Manager for Ghana. Omar Bushlaibi, currently serving as the Country Manager for Zambia, will continue his existing role with an addition of Zimbabwe.
In addition to enhancing the airline's commercial and operational footprint across West Asia, Indian Ocean, and Africa, Emirates also focuses on providing opportunities for growth of talent. As part of the airline's ongoing Commercial Outstation Managers Programme, the new appointments offer UAE Nationals to further develop leadership skills, gain exposure across new markets, and build relationships with local governments and industry partners.
