This Easter, guests at Dhawa Ihuru and Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru are invited to celebrate the season with a curated mix of seaside tradition and tropical charm.
At Dhawa Ihuru, families can enjoy relaxed beachfront festivities including egg hunts, face painting, interactive cooking for little ones, and more.
Across the lagoon, Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru offers understated elegance with Easter-themed beachfront barbecues, Maldivian traditions and a seasonal culinary Sakura Signature Omakase at its award-winning overwater restaurant, Madi Hiyaa.
From playful mornings to candlelit dinners by the sea, Easter is reimagined in a setting that is both vibrant and serene.
Purposeful April: Wellness and Sustainability Highlights
In line with the brand’s ethos of embracing the environment and empowering people, the resorts continue to offer experiences that support the greater good:
- Swim for Good (7 April): In celebration of World Health Day, guests and associates took part in a 900-metre open-water swim between the islands, followed by a Nutrition Awareness Talk hosted in partnership with the Society for Health Education.
- Full Moon Lights Out (13–14 April): All non-essential lighting to be switched off to conserve energy and highlight the beauty of the starlit Maldivian sky.
- Earth Day Community Clean-Up (22 April): In partnership with the community of K. Dhiffushi Island, guests join hands with resort associates to remove marine debris and contribute to local community care.
- Save the Reef (27 April): A monthly Marine Lab-led marine conservation project for resort associates and guests to join hands in removing coral predators to protect local reefs. Two predators are actively removed – the crown of thorns starfish (COTS) and the pincushion starfish (PINS), both notorious for consuming coral polyps, resulting in significant coral loss throughout the reef.
From recognising the strategic leadership shaping the future of the island havens to celebrating seasonal joy and embracing purpose-led experiences, April at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Dhawa Ihuru invites guests to reconnect - not only with loved ones, but with nature, culture, and a meaningful sense of place.
