The resort has announced the promotion of Muizz Mohamed to Resort Manager. Having previously served as the Director of Operations and Director of Human Resources, Muizz has been an integral part of Cora Cora Maldives since its pre-opening, playing a pivotal role in shaping the resort’s operations and fostering a strong team culture.

With over 14 years of experience in resorts and 3 years in banking and finance, Muizz brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership expertise to his new role. As Resort Manager, he will continue to drive Cora Cora Maldives’ commitment to sustainable tourism, guest excellence, and employee development, ensuring that the resort remains a top-tier destination in the Maldives.

Muizz began his hospitality career as an intern at Sun Island Resort & Spa in 2006 and quickly progressed through various roles in human resources, team management, and recruitment at esteemed properties such as Kurumba Maldives, Atmosphere Core, and Le Méridien Maldives. His passion for people development and strategic leadership has been instrumental in fostering a work environment where employees thrive and are motivated to deliver outstanding service.

During his tenure as Director of Human Resources at Cora Cora Maldives, Muizz spearheaded initiatives that emphasized equal opportunities, career growth, and sustainable employment. He played a key role in implementing training programs for local residents, particularly women, to enhance their participation in the hospitality industry. As Director of Operations, he continued to strengthen the resort’s eco-conscious vision, reinforcing its reputation as a leader in sustainable tourism and exceptional hospitality.

A strong advocate for continuous learning, Muizz has completed a prestigious course in Hotel Management, Owner Relations, and Asset Management at Cornell University, further solidifying his expertise in hospitality leadership. His deep understanding of operational excellence and dedication to innovation will undoubtedly contribute to Cora Cora Maldives’ ongoing success.
