Air India is all set to introduce a new service that will offer non-stop flights connecting the stunning Maldives with two major Indian cities, Bangalore and Mumbai.

In previous winter seasons, Air India had operated direct flights to the Maldives. However, these convenient services were not available year-round, leaving travelers wanting more.

In exciting news shared on social media by Villa Travels, Air India's trusted passenger sales agent in the Maldives, the airline has announced its plans to initiate direct flights between the bustling Indian cities of Bangalore and Mumbai to the Maldivian capital, Male, starting from October 30.

Presently, travelers looking for direct flight options between the Maldives and India have choices like IndiGo, Maldivian, and Vistara.

Maldives' flagship carrier, Maldivian, is also gearing up to launch its own direct flights connecting Male with Bangalore, with these services commencing from October.

Furthermore, Vistara, owned by Tata Group, is in the final stages of preparations to launch direct flights connecting the Maldives with India's capital, New Delhi, and operations for this route are scheduled to kick off in October as well.

These developments come as no surprise, considering the booming tourism between the two destinations. According to data from the tourism ministry, an impressive number of Indian tourists, totaling 133,495, had visited the Maldives by August 26 this year. This trend solidifies India's position as the second-largest source market for tourists visiting the Maldives.

With these new flight options, travelers can look forward to even more convenient and efficient ways to explore the beautiful Maldives from major Indian cities, further strengthening the ties between these two incredible destinations.
